FOINIKAS BEACH:
The beach of Foinikas is a beautiful beach in the west of Syros, shortly after Poseidonia. It is a favorite destination, due to the infrastructure it has, such as umbrellas that protect bathers from the sun, an organized marina for mooring sailboats and fish taverns right next to the sea. The beach of Foinikas is easily accessible and can be visited by following the road from Ermoupoli to Galissa. It is also a favorite fishing spot and is suitable for fishing and spearfishing.

AGKATHOPES BEACH:
The “sand lily” is a species native to the sandy beaches of the Mediterranean region, a gorgeous and unique flower also growing on the sands of Agkathopes beach where, in spring, the rare Mediterranean seals Monachus monachus drop by for their annual visit as well!
Golden sand and shallow, crystal-clear waters: two of the beach’s most attractive features become even more inviting to visitors who will find that Agkathopes is easily accessible, has the amenities to take care of every comfort, and provides plenty of food and drink options. It is considered one of the best beaches of Syros: popular with locals and visitors alike, it is also perfect for families and fun-seeking groups of young adults.
Agkathopes is located a mere 14 km away from Hermoupolis, on the southwestern coast of the island.

GALISSAS BEACH:
The scenic village of Galissas is just 7km away from Hermoupolis, on the western part of Syros. Once a rural village, Galissas’ development has been rapid in recent years.
The fabulous beach with its fine sand and natural shade (courtesy of the tamarisk trees); the well-known hill of Aghia Pakoú with its scenic chapel; the tiny harbor with its small boats, the exquisite stone-built pier and the palm trees, compose an inspirational landscape that invites visitors to take romantic strolls and drink in the beauty around them while the sunset puts a spellbinding show on.
Galissas has a brisk pace when it comes to cultural activities. It is the seat of two cultural associations which host various events annually such as theater performances, a wine festival, exhibitions, music soirées, a horse beauty pageant, a beach volley tournament, and much more. What is more, Galissas has its very own Nautical Club.
