Azura Luxury Houses are located in Foinikas village and they are next to the picturesque Marina. The Houses combine the island vibe with luxury accommodation creating an experience worth living. Azura also offers a variety of choices as there is a traditional residence located in the medieval Ano Syros which provides the guests with a great view of Ermoupoli's port and a vintage atmosphere. Azura is family operated, and Kostas, Marina, Nikos and Maggie have set high quality criteria of hospitality and are ready to welcome you at one of the Houses all year long.

Within walking distance from Azura Luxury Homes you can find yourselves at Foinikas Beach which is fully organized with umbrellas and sunbeds, cafeterias and restaurants. Also, Kokkina and Porto Tragaki are two beaches near the Homes that are natural with crystal clear water. Agathopes Beach is 2 km away, it has fancy bars and restaurants and Komito Beach is located 3 km away and offers a variety of water sports.

People with special needs are welcome to Azura Luxury Homes. Azura Sea is designed with details to accommodate guests with special needs and it is equipped with an outdoor lift, a step free route to the Home, tactile tiles, wide doors, a bathroom with special handles, a shower stool and an adjustable sink.

The housekeeping is every 4 days along with the linen and towel change.

HERMOUPOLIS CITY HALL:
The City Hall of Hermoupolis on Miaouli Square is the city’s crown jewel and it’s no coincidence that it has been listed as a “masterpiece” by ministerial decree. This magnificent building has three floors on the side overlooking the square and two floors in the rear due to the ground’s incline. It was built in 1876 under the supervision of architect Ernst Ziller and its design draws architecturally on three different styles: Tuscan, Ionic, and Corinthian.
The building’s outstanding features include a princely staircase 15.5 meters high; two wings with five vertical window axes right and left; overhangs; towers; a marble pediment; portraits of former Syros mayors; and more.
APOLLON THEATER:
The Apollon Theater is a building of great historic significance, directly linked to the history of the island and its culture. Ever since the establishment of Hermoupolis, it became apparent that the city needed a theater that could host a variety of events and house theater troupes visiting the island. The initiative to construct the theater belonged to Michalis Salvagos.
The foundations of the Apollon Theater were laid in late 1862 on the grounds of Plateia Theatrou.
Today, the theater stands fully restored and has been returned to its original state as accurately as possible.
INDUSTRIAL MUSEUM:
The Industrial Museum of Hermoupolis boasts a collection of over 300 exhibits of old machinery and tools. For Greece, that is a unique collection comprising equipment from various trades such as tanning, machining, textiles, book printing, shipbuilding, loukoumi-making, food packaging equipment, and much more, with all exhibits coming from Hermoupolis’ own factories.
Gathering and curating the collection of historic tools began as early as 1985, while the collection’s systematic restoration and conservation project began in 1998 and is carried out exclusively in Hermoupolis.
VAPORIA DISTRICT:
During the revolution, refugees in the northern Aegean and Crete settled on the island of Syros. There they built some unique high-ceiling mansions by the sea with striking paintings, woodcut doors, marble balconies, wooden floors and unparalleled details soon creating a stunning neighborhood of captains mansions, of marvelous home-boats “vaporia” that seemed to hover above the rocks. Therefore from the 19th century and onwards the district was named after this incredible boat-habitats also known as Vaporia and continues to be renowned as the most prestigious district in the eastern part of Syros. This is a beautiful and picturesque area with small beaches suitable for swimming and tranquil escapes. While in the area, it is worth visiting the Church of St. Nicholas the rich dominating with its bell towers.
